The Truman Library Institute required a design for their donor magazine, TRU, that could reflect both the gravitas of President Truman’s legacy and the modern relevance of their work. Building on established styles, I crafted layouts for two issues, balancing clean lines and strong typographical hierarchy with historical storytelling. The visually cohesive design helped the magazine resonate with readers, and the Institute’s return for a second issue within the same year reinforced the success of our collaboration. Through the publication, we connected history with modern design, honoring the past while engaging future generations.
